Casuarinas groves, soothing palms and magnificent white sand are the hallmark of Kashid beaches. This is one of the best places in Maharashtra for weekend vacations. In other words, Kashid provides you with ideal settings for a tranquil stay from the busy life of cities. The best part of Kashid beaches are they are still largely undiscovered and because of that hardly any crowd can be seen at this place. The cleanliness of the place and water just adds to the attraction quotient.
Coming to Kashid takes you just 4 hour drive from Mumbai and it’s situated in the Konkan region on the Mumbai-Goa coastline. While coming to this place you will come across beautiful glimpses of nature, amazing hills, paddy fields and little rivulets. These entire things combine together to give a wonderful memory. Kashid is a picturesque place and best time to visit is monsoon. Kashid is primarily a fishing village and its other attractions include Konkan huts, Nawab’s palace and old fortress.
MTDC has no resorts in Kashid. The nearest MTDC resort is located at Kihim, a 12 Km journey from popular Alibaug. However, MTDC used to have resorts in Murud-Janjira that is now known as Golden Swan Resort. It is now a privately owned resort and has managed to carve its niche among other resorts. Golden Swan is nearest to Murud beach and visiting Kashid beach is relatively an easier task from the resort. It boasts of 23 rooms and offers numerous facilities including restaurant, outdoor games, guest rooms and indoor games. Location wise, the resort is 150 km from Mumbai.
The rooms at the resort are categorized into deluxe rooms, cottages and beach houses. All the basic amenities and wonderful facilities have been made available to the tourists.
One can have all sort of delightful cuisines at the resort’s restaurant. For the recreation purpose, one can always opt for carom, chess, football, cricket, beach volleyball or badminton. Health club is another wonderful addition to the number of facilities offered. The budget is quite reasonable as per the preference of guest rooms. Truly, Kashid holiday is a rejuvenating experience.
