Kashid Beach

Kashid Beach

Kashid, Maharashtra is most famous for its beautiful beaches. Not that, beach is the only attraction in this quaint place but apart from other attractions like Murud, Janjira Fort, Birla temple etc, beaches manage to command your attraction the most. Kashid is primarily a beach town on the shores of Arabian Sea and sparsely populated on weekends. Situated in the North Konkan region of Maharashtra, Kashid boasts of a comfortable distance from major places of Maharashtra. Connectivity to this beautiful beach town is also quite good and accessible.

Kashid has magnificent blue seas, white sand and great scenery. It has one of the cleanest beaches in Konkan region. Just the experience of sitting at the beach, doing nothing and enjoying the sea breeze is a mind-blowing experience. The Casuarinas groves make this place more than suitable for a rejuvenating beach holiday. While going through Kashid Mumbai route, one has to go through Alibaug road and the moment the stretch after Wadkhal naka starts, its one of the best feeling one can have. The huge space with no crowd in sight is truly an amazing sight. One can have the glimpses of Kashid’s green mountains, blue sea and shores from the designated road itself.

Another advantage of Kashid beach, Alibaug is the fact that it’s quite secluded on the western coast of India. Unlike other good beaches, it does not have huge crowds so one can have his relaxation experience without any noise and disturbance. It’s indeed a sight to behold when one witnesses the might of Arabian Sea.

The waves are quite high and for those who seek adventure, surfing is always an attractive alternative. Even if not a rainy season, waves can be of 5-6 feet high. However, one needs to be careful during monsoon time. No wonder, people flock to this place in groups at every possible opportunity.
